Between sales on games new and old and discounted subscriptions, Black Friday is the most wonderful time of the year for gamers. It's also when retailers release epic deals on consoles and curate console bundles as holiday offerings. And for Black Friday, two of our favorite holiday console bundles have gotten the Cyber Week pricing treatment.
Both the Xbox Series S, which we recently learned is Microsoft's bestselling current-generation console, and the Series X bundles are on sale for new lows at Walmart during its final Black Friday deals event. Plus, the PlayStation 5 Slim digital edition is finally in stock at Amazon.
Best Black Friday Xbox Series S deal
Announced in mid-October as a holiday offering for 2023, the Xbox Series S Starter Bundle not only includes the popular console, but also an Xbox wireless controller and a three-month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription. It's worth $349.98 and usually priced at $299.99, which already saves you $50. But for Black Friday, Walmart has it on sale for only $249. That's $50.99 less than its retail value and — technically — $100.98 in savings. Considering the Series S on its own usually costs $299.99, this is one helluva steal.
Best Black Friday Xbox Series X deal
If you've had your eye on the Xbox Series X for some time, this deal on the Diablo IV Bundle is hard to say no to. At only $439 at Walmart — $120.99 less than its regular price and $50 less than its Prime Day price — this is a new record-low. The bundle includes the elusive Xbox Series X, Xbox wireless controller, HDMI cable, Diablo IV (which was released earlier this year), and exclusive in-game content.
Black Friday PlayStation Slim (digital edition) release
Gaming console deals are somewhat of a rarity. Most come in the form of bundles, including PlayStation 5 Black Friday deals. Sometimes we're lucky if we just get the opportunity to buy the console in stock. That's the case with the PlayStation 5 Slim digital edition that's now available for $449.99 at Amazon. The digital version has no disc drive and is $50 cheaper than the standard edition.
