Why we like it

This 14-inch ASUS laptop has a sleek NanoEdge display, a backlit keyboard, an AMD Ryzen 3 processor with 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage. It's not a super impressive spec sheet, but it's very solid within the context of its current sale price of $299 and worthwhile for everyday multitasking. (Most cheap, entry-level PCs under $300 have pokey Intel Core N Series CPUs, 4GB of RAM, and sluggish eMMC flash storage that caps out at 128GB.)

Why we like it

"If you're looking for a full-size, low-priced budget laptop, you could do a lot worse than Lenovo's 15.6-inch IdeaPad 3i," write the experts at PCMag, who gave it an "Excellent" 4/5 rating. (Full disclosure: PCMag is owned by Mashable's publisher, Ziff Davis.) The configuration with an 11th-generation Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, and a meaty 512GB of storage typically retails for $629.99, but we just found it on sale for $399.99 at Best Buy and on the Lenovo website. That's $20 cheaper than its Memorial Day deal and a $30 price drop since last week.

The 256GB base configuration's current price of $749.99 (available at Amazon and Best Buy) is a lingering Prime Day discount and the cheapest it's ever been. You won't find a better MacBook deal anywhere unless you buy a used or refurbished model.

(It's our favorite MacBook on the market and also a Mashable's Choice Award-winner, for the record.) Best Buy's current $949 deal for the 256GB base configuration is a match of a record-low on Amazon that's made it sold out there since late July.

It's marked down to $1,399.99 on the LG website — it normally retails for $1,799.99 — but Best Buy will give it to you for $1,099.99 and throw a free one-month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership.
